Erbil – The Iraqi Cabinet is scheduled to address key financial matters concerning the salaries of Kurdish regional employees and fiscal agreements between Baghdad and Erbil in its upcoming meeting on Tuesday.
A government source revealed that the agenda for the December 23, 2025 session will cover federal financial commitments to the Kurdistan Region, including the payment of employees’ salaries for October, discussions on extending the tripartite oil export agreement, and transferring approximately 120 billion Iraqi dinars from the region’s local revenues to Baghdad.
These talks come as the current tripartite oil agreement is set to expire at the end of this year, making its potential extension a central topic of discussion within the Cabinet.
