Egypt’s Remittances Reach $34 Billion in 10 Months, PM Says

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly announced that remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached $34 billion over the past ten months, describing the increase as a significant boost to the national economy.

Speaking during the weekly cabinet meeting in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly said the surge reflects growing confidence in Egypt’s economic reforms and financial stability.

He emphasized that structural reforms have led to noticeable improvements in economic and financial indicators, with the private sector playing a key role as a strategic partner in driving growth.

The Prime Minister also referred to recent presidential directives aimed at accelerating fiscal sustainability, maintaining a downward trend in inflation, and improving debt management.

Madbouly concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to continuing economic reforms, improving the investment climate, and supporting service and development sectors to enhance living standards and ensure long-term economic stability.
